We received this month’s Kids Night In Box and by far it’s one of our favourites! The theme for this one is called “Common Bonds.” We really like these boxes for, one, they are fun to do as a family and gives Milo the opportunity to be away from the tv, and two, they are educational!
In the Common Bonds box, Milo gets to learn about different countries around the world. There is a blow up globe (which I also had when I was a kid!) and we can show him where we are on the globe, and what countries we have visited!
There are recipes included that your kids can do, as well as one that the entire family can contribute. The book that comes with the box, “Whoever You Are” written by Mem Fox is a great way to remind your kids that even though we are all different, we still all love the same.
What I really liked, and that brought back a lot of memories for me was the Pen Pal Program the Night In Box has! There is a sheet for your child to fill out and colour. Just send it back to Night In Box and your child will be paired up with another child in the program and they can write to each other!!
