Scholastic.ca is your online one stop shop for all your child’s favourite books. Here you can find some of your child’s favourite book series, activities, downloadables, videos and more!
Owlkids.com A magazine subscription service for kids. Chirp magazine is for kids ages 3-6, Chickadee for ages 6-9, and Owl forages9-13. There are many educational YouTube videos, STEAM books, crafting ideas and more.
Another of our favourite is the Highlights magazine. I used to have a monthly subscription to this magazine as a kid, and loved when it arrived! There are different magazines (like Owlkids) that cater to different age groups. There is also an app that you can download to play games and learn on your device.

With students going online, a skill students will eventually need to learn is how to use the keyboard and type! A great site to check out is kidztype.com. It’s super easy to navigate through, you can choose level of difficulty, and what row on the keyboard you want to use.
This is an amazing site for learning all things digital literacies; from learning the basics to how to use a computer, and email, to how to apply for jobs and planning for your future! It is called edu.gcfglobal.org
Toronto Public Library has wonderful free online resources that you can access with your library card. You can reserve books, movies, music, magazines, newspapers comics and more!
