What are your names?
Our names are Scott and Stefano. Our boys’ names are Robert (Bobby) and Jacob (Jake). They are twins and are 2 1/2 years old.
How did you decide on Bobby and Jake’s names?
Robert is named after Scott’s deceased father. We chose the name Jacob for Jewish purposes.
How did you decide what your children would call you?
Daddy for the American father (Scott) and Pappa for the Italian father (Stefano) because pappa is Italian for dad.
How did you decide your children’s last name? Is it hyphenated? Only after one parent?
We decided to use both of our last names and hyphenate them.
What were you most afraid of about becoming a parent?
My main worry was not getting enough sleep.
What is the most rewarding part of being a parent?
Tough to choose one but I’d say the most rewarding part is the constant love and awe the kids show us.
What do you do for fun as an entire family?
We go to the beach and go to Florida to visit grandma. We also go to Sesame place very often and have people over a lot for BBQ’s.
What was a “must have” item you used when Bobby and Jake were little?
Pacifiers when they were younger, but they have grown out of that.
Describe your parenting styles. Is one parent stricter?
Scott is very into scheduling and making sure they eat 3 meals a day and sleep 10 hours a night plus 2 hour+ nap. Stefano would let things happen as they would, so he is more easy going when it comes to parenting. It makes a good balance!
